“This trip was certainly challenging from a photographic point of view,” confirmed Helge. “The extreme cold and large amount of dust was very difficult to work in. At times my hands were so cold it was painful to hold the camera.”
Helge also admits that taking this route in the autumn months wasn’t ideal. The freezing, damp conditions made both riding and photography very difficult.
“I’m planning on retracing the trip in the summer months,” admitted Helge. “I loved the places that we visited and people we met, and of course the team I travelled with were a great bunch of people.”
Despite the amazing experiences and scenery that the team encountered there was one factor in the trip that really caught Helge’s attention. “I am in love with the HP2 Enduro,” enthused Helge. “It is just an incredible bike, there were times when I rode over terrain that I never thought possible. It moved my riding ability on to another level.”
