Pure Power! R 1100 S.

The R 1100 S is the uncontested star of the race track at the BMW Motorrad BoxerCup. The strict regulations that only permit minor racing alterations to be carried out on the S model ensure that only the most essential points are concentrated on: Sheer power and maximum driving performance!

The BMW R 1100 S is the sportiest of the standard large capacity BMW street motorcycles. It features the thunderous sound of a four-stroke engine plus athletic and agile handling. So this time a street racer version will be competing with all the features of the series model. The regulations of the BMW Motorrad BoxerCup 2004 provide for the participation of a BMW R 1100 S of the model year 1999 to 2004.

Technical specifications of the R 1100 S:
- 1,085 cc
- 2-cylinder-4-stroke flat-twin boxer
- Power: 98 hp at 7,500/min
- Shaft drive
- Telelever at the front, Paralever at the rear
- Tank capacity 18 l

Only minor alterations relevant to racing have been carried out on the series motorcycle, as for example:

With the exception of a racing-kit supplied by BMW only BMW original parts may be used. These and further technical changes are listed in detail in the BMW motorcycle BoxerCup rules.
