BMW off-road

The renaissance of the motorcycle also means BMW's comeback to motor racing. Once again, BMW motorcycles seek competition beyond the asphalt tracks. In 1979 BMW wins the German Off-road Championship: this forms the introduction to BMW's successful rally racing career during subsequent years.
