The 5th anniversary was an unforgettable experience.
More than 30,000 fans and friends of BMW Motorrad had followed the call to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Alpine foothills on the first weekend in July. Guests from 45 countries - some as far away as Russia, Australia and the USA - came to the event and turned the 5th anniversary of the BMW Motorrad Biker Meeting into an unforgettable experience. The motto was "Welcome England" and so we were especially pleased to greet our British friends who arrived with 212 motorcycles and for the first time used a complete train for transporting their motorcycles through the Eurotunnel.

No true motorcycle fan can afford to miss the Biker Meeting - everyone agrees on that. New friendships are quickly made on the ride-outs together as well as during the spectacular motorcycle parade which helped overcome all geographic borders. In the evening these friendships deepened at the parties in the beer tent and around the camp fire. Once again the guided test rides with the current BMW Motorrad models were hot property. The HP2 Enduro was presented accompanied by unbelievable stunts by the pro-riders S. Kirssi, J. Lewis and C. Peiffer. Even experienced enduro riders stood there gaping. The Biker Meeting is a true highlight of the motorcycling season which was over much too soon!

We would like to thank all participants for making the Biker Meeting such a great occasion and also the host town for the excellent corporation! We look forward to seeing you all again next year from 7th to 9th July 2006!
